A home office

A home office

In a perfect world, your home office is a separate room from the rest of the house. If one isn't available, be sure it's a corner dedicated completely to this business - somewhere that everyone knows belongs to the business, and will not be disturbed. You might want to get some folding partitions to separate it from the rest of the room.

This area needs a few amenities, make sure they're available. You'll need a desk, files, chair, telephone, electrical outlets, and maybe a computer. If there are no utilities, you can have them installed.

The "desk" might just be a small table or any surface you can write on. You can always put a board or door on two file cabinets.
