Home Inventory
For insurance, will, and tax purposes, you should have an inventory of your possessions.
This should include a description of the items, their date of acquisition - when you got them, cost, value, replacement cost, and if possible a photograph of the items. For valuable items, get an appraisal.
A video of the items is a good idea also.
Store this inventory in your permanent file or safe deposit box.
