I originally used a system called Boohoo, created by Philip Greenspun however his sever is overloaded, and is often too busy to handle requests, so I wrote my own set of products for web sites.

What Link-Server does

You have a Web server with static pages. You want users to be able to add links dynamically to any of your pages. However, you don't want to turn all of your Web pages into computer programs. You don't want to run your own Relational Database Management System-backed Web site. You don't want to spend the rest of your life backing up and maintaining the relational database.

That's where Link-Server comes in. Your static pages stay on your current server. You create a realm on this server. Then you put links on your pages, and visitors can start entering links.

How it works

OK, I'm ready to start

The first step is to create a realm on this server.

I already have a realm. realm list (select realm to administer)

I need to add a realm.

Step 2, get the HTML

Find your realm in this list. The admin page has a link to generate HTML.
